He built a custom home for my family in the Westlake area and he did it on time and under budget despite the complexities, setbacks and very demanding clients! He is the most open, honest and hard working builder I have ever met and would recommend him even for the most complex projects. We hired another contractor that completely ruined our house. We called Doug and his team and were desperate for a honest and great contractor to fix the mess. We called his references and all were excellent. Once we started working with Doug we knew we were in the right hands. His sub contractors were awesome. He finished on time and the work exceeded our expectations. He completely gutted and remodeled the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, etc. You cannot go wrong by hiring Doug and SkyWest Builders. Doug Marsh is without a doubt the best general contractor with whom a person can work. He helped us remodel our entire house 18 months ago and we could not be happier with the end result. He listens to you; helps you realize your dream; stays on budget; has the utmost respect of his subcontractors, and he for them, which is obvious when you see them working together; had weekly meetings with me to discuss the progress that had been made during the week and what was upcoming for the week ahead; always answered his phone when I had a question; and was involved in practically every detail of the day-to-day activities, because he takes extreme pride in providing a flawless finished product. He provided me with a schedule of decisions I needed to make and by when they needed to be made. I stayed on schedule and so did he. In fact, he finished over two weeks early, which I think is unheard of in the world of building / remodeling! When the remodel was finished, I was sad, because he made the process seem so easy and I was going to miss working with him! We joked at the end that we could always add a second floor to our one-story house, so we could work together again. I would recommend Doug without reservation for any building project. Doug Marsh and crew are miracle workers. We had popcorn ceilings and they were falling in places. Doug and crew came into our house, moved necessary furniture, covered and taped it well and did a fabulous job of the new ceilings throughout the entire house. We wanted our old kitchen and bathroom cabinets painted. No problem. They painted them off white with a soft brown rubbed accent. They are gorgeous.
Put in a new bathroom heater/vent/light. Had to cut a hole in the roof because of new code. Great job.
Fireplace had come cracks in grout plus was dirty since it was built in the 80's. He re-grouted what was necessary, cleaned the stones and it looks new. Wanted crown molding in the master bath. They did a perfect job. Anything we sprung on him, he was gracious and had a price for it by the next day and it was handled and done without a hitch. Doug and team are professionals who care about how the finished product looks. Their work is of the finest quality. We recently remodeled our 1950's home with an extensive kitchen and living area renovation. We wanted top quality and great service and that's exactly what we received with Doug Marsh and Skywest Builders. The project came in on time and on budget, there were no surprises.
Primarily a kitchen remodel, the project included extensive custom cabinetry, granite installation of all new appliances into the cabinets. We also opened up the living area spaces by removing several walls, some were loading bearing and external walls so work was done in the attic with beam support, as well as all of the old hardwood flooring was pulled out and new wood went down. All windows and doors were replaced throughout the entire house, and every surface was painted.
The communications between Doug and ourselves was just enough and always immediate when we needed an unscheduled contact. His communications with vendors and the designer/architect was also timely, courteous and consistent ... very essential to keep the project moving as the renovation can become a bit of a moving target as old-house issues tend to pop up." - DJ Whitlock

It's been great working with Doug Marsh. Let me tell you upfront two important things:
- The project cost what he said it was going to
- It was done when he said it would be. I can't emphasize this enough. As he promised, there were no upcharges and no extensions. We had interviewed three renovators and naturally clicked with Doug's easy going style. His website pics and testimonials, and something like 40 years in the business didn't hurt either. We needed the job done quickly and he was super accommodating throughout the process. Of course there were unforseens and hiccups along the way, but we worked with each other, remedying any obstacles easily. Another great thing is that he was always reachable, or promptly returned calls and emails. This was fantastic as my wife and I have busy schedules. We have used them for two projects in our home-a media room and a screened porch. They were very easy to work with and very professional. They were able to incorporate all of our desires and worked within our requested budget. They also assisted us with dealing with issues that came up due to problems that were not addressed by our home builder. Their subcontractors were very professional as well, and there was never a lag in the work being done. Doug addressed our questions and concerns immediately, and was on site at least once every day. When they remodeled our bathrooms they demonstrated their signature abilities to bring the job in on time and on budget — in fact, they were three weeks early and under budget. Doug's abiity to schedule crews and communicate tasks to them assured us that we had no worries; the only tasks left for us were just to confirm details while the work progressed. Doug scheduled the workers perfectly, one having just finished as the next arrived; and they all arrived knowing just what needed to be accomplished that day; there was never an idle time. Just to make it even more fun, we stayed in our house during the entire 3 month project and I work out of the house as well! We had architectural drawings for a pool house/guest cottage that various contractors looked at and bid on. Some of the bids were absolutely out of the ballpark. They had what I call the "Barton Creek factor," meaning the bids reflected an assumption that we'd just pay anything. For a while, we thought we wouldn't do the project because it seemed too costly. But then we found Doug Marsh, and they were more reasonably priced. So we went with them, and it turned out that not only was their pricing reasonable, but their work was exceptional.
